The Quiet End Community
The Quiet End community Discord is the home base for everyone interested in the setting: lore discussion, fiction sharing, feedback on the tools and games, and general conversation about life near the end of a fading galaxy.
The server also hosts TQE-RPG, a persistent bot-driven RPG built around the universe. If you want to play a character in this world rather than just read about it, this is where that happens.
TQE-RPG is a text-based RPG played entirely through Discord. You start with a ship, a few credits, and nowhere to be. From there it is entirely up to you: take contracts, haul cargo between systems, scavenge for parts, or run jobs that no respectable carrier would touch. The galaxy is mostly procedurally generated and entirely persistent, shared across all players.
Every run through a Corridor is a decision under pressure. Fuel costs money. Ships take damage. Equipment degrades. Dynamic market prices shift between locations, so what paid well on your last run may not pay at all on this one. Jobs and trade routes reward planning, but the best opportunities rarely come without risk attached.
Your character's effectiveness is shaped by four trainable skills. Each affects your survival odds and options in a different layer of the game:
The danger is real. Corridor transit exposes you to radiation, electromagnetic storms, and equipment failures that cascade if your Engineering is undertrained. Vacuum Bloom, a fungal organism that spreads through ship systems, can quietly end a run before you notice it has started. Pirates patrol profitable routes. Not every ship makes it back, and the game does not protect you from that. Death is permanent.
